I would like to Wish my Great Aunt Anne and her family a special Merry Christmas and all the best in the coming New Year. I would also like to thank her on behalf of the Mina Swim Memorial Committee for her very generous donation toward the Monument. I know our goal will be obtained and erected from the generousity of family, friends and great community involvement. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
I would like to thank Ngaire Genge for her most generous donation, time and
support to our cause. Ngaire has offered to print the book I wrote “Christmas in the Harbour” as a donation. This will mean 100% proceeds towards the monument. Her most valuable time and hard work are greatly appreciated. also, I am sure I speak for the whole committee when I say people like Ngaire and her family are highly reguarded and most valued contributors to our cause, again thank you so much.
Harold, for furthering my research, I was wondering if you knew where there would be any land records for Burin area, if indeed there are any. I did look in St. John’s, there were some but not much.
I should also add that in my research I have contacted the Maritime Museum in St. John’s on many ocassions, and recently mentioned your website.
They would be very interested in obtaining a copy of all information when you are finished and can add it to their files for everyone’s benefit, if you are so inclined.
